Case for Support
Help Us Today
The “Welcome to Our House” project supplies the framework for exponentially expanding our agency services with a full spectrum of care at one location. Our initiative will transform our headquarters to welcome our neighboring Child Protection Team (CPT), joining our prevention and clinical teams at one location in our three-story house.
“Welcome to Our House” moves our mission forward by:
- Following our agency’s strategic plan set forth by the MCS Board of Directors
- Building our agency’s sustainability by lessening the financial burdens incurred through expenditures on the current CPT building
- Putting victims first with quick, effective wraparound care at one location with other MCS programs
- Leveraging our resources to provide a comfortable, child-friendly environment when responding to children and families in crisis through intervention services
- Practicing good stewardship to increase our quality of services and ensure the trust of our generous supporters

MCS provides a full spectrum of programs serving over 12,000 children and families annually. Since its inception in 1977 as the Manatee County’s first and only emergency shelter for abused children in foster care, MCS has grown to offer programs in treatment, prevention, intervention, and residential services.
