Grandparents as Parents Kinship Care Program provides supportive services for grandparents, relative, and other kinship caregivers.

Support Services include:

  • Parenting Workshops
  • Kinship Warmline Support
  • Knowledgeable Presenters
  • Resource and Referrals
  • Advocacy Services

Support Groups:

Manatee County Lunch Bunch
Meets every third Saturday of the month for Fun, Food, and Sharing.
FREE CHILD CARE AND LUNCH PROVIDED
Where: Congregational United Church of Christ, 3700 26th St W, Bradenton
When: Every third Saturday of the month from 11:30am-1:30pm

Saturday Morning Breakfast Group
Open to grandparents, relatives, and kinship caregivers seeking support from other caregivers within a small, intimate environment.
DONUTS AND COFFEE PROVIDED
Where: Manatee Childrens Services, 453 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton
When: Every first Saturday of the month (except for holiday weekends), from 9:30am-10:30am

Parenting Workshops:

Topics include:

  • Parenting the Second Time Around
  • Understanding Your Childs Behavior

    Workshops focus on parenting issues that develop as a result of parenting grandchildren and relative children.
